To receive ARP ESSER grant monies, Moultonborough School District needs to provide information on the plan of use of the funds to the community and to seek community input on the plan.

On the menu on this page is posted a copy of the plan developed by the district and approved by the New Hampshire Department of Education in fall of 2021; and a copy of the presentation on school community input.

The purposes of this grant are to support schools staying in person (including necessary HVAC upgrades), to address learning gaps due to the pandemic, to support career and technical education, to improve school/community communication and to address other unforeseen impacts of the pandemic on students. More information about the ARP ESSER (ESSER III) grant can be found at NH Department of Education website

The Moultonborough School District was awarded $561,993.38, which can be expended through 2023-2024 school year. 20% of this amount ($112,398.68) must be allocated to activities to address learning loss.

As with all grants, the monies cannot be spent on for items currently or previously paid for through the annual school budget.

The Moultonborough School District so far has allocated these grant funds for activities such as:

  • support tutoring and summer learning for elementary students (2021-2024)

  • monitoring intervention effectiveness (2021-2024)

  • improvements to school website and social media (2021-2024)

  • Choose Love community programs (2021-2024)

  • expanding LRTC programs to interested and eligible 10th grade students (2022-2024)

  • cleaning supplies related to COVID-19 mitigation protocols (2021-2022)

School community feedback is reviewed by district administration and incorporated into planning as possible. Needs identified by stakeholders which are not incorporated into the ARP ESSER plan are often addressed through other funding sources or resources.
